Blake Norberg - VP of Dealer Development

 

I grew up in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where I was fortunate enough to attend the McCallie School. I left Chattanooga and went on to attend the University of Alabama where I graduated Cum Laude with a B.S. degree in Finance with a double-minor in Political Science and Economics. After interning a year for AEGON USA in their Investment Portfolio division in Louisville, Kentucky, I returned to Alabama and earned my Master's degree in Banking and Finance through the Manderson Graduate School of Business.

 

Like many people that end up in the Automotive Industry, I had no intent of seeking a career in it despite having grown up around the business as my father, C.D. Norberg, built a very successful agency that paved the way for F&I Training and Product Development in the Southeast. After a brief stint in the mortgage industry in Charleston, South Carolina, I decided to make a career change. After attending Sales School and learning the "Road to the Sale," I became an F&I Specialist for Pat Ryan & Associates, Inc. or Resource Automotive in 2004. I worked my way up the ranks to becoming the top Specialist in the company with assignments in Atlanta, Savannah, Indianapolis, Illinois, and Orlando. After my last assignment, I was promoted to District Manager and relocated to Atlanta, Georgia.

 

As a District Manager, I was responsible for the Training and Development for the Penske stores and the Carl Black Platform in Atlanta. After a successful 2-year stint as District Manager in Atlanta, I returned home to Alabama where in the words of legendary football coach, Paul W. "Bear" Bryant, "Momma called." I was given the opportunity to come back and partner with my father, C.D. Norberg. I have provided valuable training and development for our dealer network along with a "hands-on, roll-your-sleeves up" style approach of working in the stores. In 2009, I attended the prestigious Van Tuyl F&I Academy hosted by one of our providers, MPP Co., Inc., and earned my F&I Certification perhaps one of my proudest professional achievements. I was recently featured in Agent-Entrepreneur Magazine on conducting Business Development Analysis's for Dealerships. I continue to practice and train daily because I want to get better in all areas.

 

Meeting Nino Parco and becoming a partner with Dealership Experts, has been a "game-changing" experience for me. Every dealership is always looking for the right people yet they always seem to spend more money by hiring the wrong people. I am thrilled to be a part of the team and have the opportunity to reach into my "toolbox" that now includes Dealership Experts to help my growing dealer network hire the right people, while saving time and money, so that they can focus on their core business: selling cars and service.
